O Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Maluhia (Peace), grant us your Son's peace.
Fill hearts with love and inspire people to live in a way that promotes peace and tranquility.
Maluhia (Peace) in hearts, Maluhia (Peace) in homes, Maluhia (Peace) in the world.
Through your intercession, may people find solace in challenging times and work towards a more peaceful world.
Therefore, "Maria 'O Maluhia" is a title that signifies Our Lady, or Mary, of Peace. This title is used in Hawaii, for example, by the Secular Franciscan Order on Maui, who gather at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina or Christ the King Church in Kahului. The title "Our Lady of Peace" has historical roots in the 16th century and is celebrated in the United States on January 24th.
We usually meet on the third Saturday of the month at 1:00 pm. We gather at either Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina, or at Christ the King Church in Kahului.
For visiting, or new members who wish to attend a gathering,
please call Toni Rodrigues at (808) 264-9392 or email rodrigues@hawaii.rr.com
to confirm date and location.
If you’ve been inspired by the lives of Saints Francis and Clare, or St. Marianne Cope and you’d like to learn more about living the Gospel in your daily life, we would love to meet you!
